Catching up with Nathan Sinkala, Zambian International playing for Stellenbosch FC in the South African Premier Soccer League. Sinkala joined Stellies earlier this year.

How has it been adjusting to South Africa?
“It has been easy for me to adjust because i have played against the South African National Team (Bafana Bafana) and other players from other countries who are in the various clubs within South Africa. So really, it has been easy, and also because I used to watch the PSL on tv the time I was in the Democratic Republic Of Congo, playing for TP Mazembe.“
How do you best describe the last season?
“We did extremely good. We survived relegation and managed to achieve the goals which the team had set on achieving.
Our goal was to be part of the top 10, and in addition finish on a good note”

Please describe your experience in the Bio Bubble.
“It was difficult in terms of socializing with team mates. There was no sharing of any sort but I managed to cope.
At the end of the day one needs to be strong. It wasn’t an easy period at all.”
What are your expectations next season?
“My expectations for next season? The expectations will be high because of how we ended in the 2019-20 season. Like I said, We ended it on a good note
My hope is that we atleast get to top 8 and possibly even top 4 – and also win something in any of the Competitions“
