After a year long postponement due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Absa Cup finally kicked off on Saturday March 13th, 2021 with an interesting turn of events.
The first match of the double header afternoon was between Premier League side Forest Rangers and Division one’s Konkola Blades which ended on a 1:0 victory to the Chililabombwe side who booked their spot in the Semi Finals.
Later, Zesco United took on Kansanshi Dynamos to a 1 all draw at Full time, leading straight to penalties. However, Kansanshi Dynamos missed their chance to proceed to the next stage on a 5:4 penalty shoot out as Zesco United joined Konkola Blades in the Semi Finals.
